Two things I'm excited about now that Spring has arrived.
1. Using the practically free public bike system in Paris. The city is completely different now that I'm seeing it overground during transit.
2. Editing my updated archive to finalize my new website material. This photograph is an excerpt of what's to come.
A new piece by Marfa artist Camp Bosworth and his studio floor. He and his lady, Buck, are two of the most special people in my world. I'm making a short documentary about Camp's work and Marfa and am bringing them some fresh squeezed orange juice in about 20 minutes. I have bags of oranges from my mother's trees back in Santa Barbara and need to share the love with this town. Is there anything better than fresh sweet orange juice ? I will be posting some more photos from the world of Buck and Camp shortly. Get ready.
Here is Tippi Hedren with her pet cheetah, Pharoah, taken in Los Angeles on the day I was born. She was in the Hitchock film, The Birds, which is a film that has haunted me for years. Isnt is incredible that we live with animals? Buck and Camp live with four dogs with very different crazy personalities. A sweet family.
